Job Title: Digital Marketing Performance Operations Manager

Location: United States, Remote, M-F

Restriction: This opportunity is for candidates residing in the United States

Compensation: $120,000 to $130,000 Annually + Bonus (up to $150,000 OTE) + Benefits

The Role

The Digital Marketing Performance Operations Manager leads the heartbeat of the client’s Performance Management department: a talented, client-facing team that brings the client’s white-glove service and company vision to life every day.


This role is all about building momentum, elevating people, and creating an environment where the team can do their best work. The Digital Marketing Performance Operations Manager coaches, supports, and empowers team members to deliver exceptional client experiences while continuing to grow in their own strengths. Key Responsibilities


PM Department Operations and Policy

  • Support accountability to departmental SOPs, workflows, and performance expectations.
  • Assist in SOP improvement and implementation.


Quality Control and Departmental Oversight

  • Conduct quality control reviews of client decks, meetings, and PM deliverables to ensure adherence to company standards of excellence.
  • Monitor consistency, professionalism, and presentation quality across the department.
  • Identify coaching opportunities and recurring operational concerns.
  • Assist in maintaining a high standard of client-facing execution.


Department Reporting and Accountability

  • Risk reporting
  • Load and capacity reporting
  • Performance reporting
  • Accountability reporting
  • Internal monthly reporting
  • Monitoring time and attendance
  • Managing weekly time cards
  • Approving PTO requests and coverage plans


PM Hiring, Reviews, and Employee Development

  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring efforts for the PM department.
  • Conduct performance manager reviews and performance evaluations.
  • Deliver employee feedback and development recommendations to leadership.
  • Identify coaching opportunities and performance concerns.
  • Support corrective action processes when necessary.


PM Coaching

  • Client communication and presentation skills
  • Meeting optics and professionalism
  • Confidence and leadership presence
  • MPR after-action reviews
  • Consistency and execution quality


PM Training and Onboarding Oversight

  • Meet regularly with PM trainers during onboarding phases.
  • Conduct weekly check-ins with new employees during training.
  • Provide regular updates to the Director of Client Services regarding onboarding progress.
  • Collaborate with trainers to adjust onboarding plans based on employee performance and development needs.


Qualifications


Required

  • Proven success managing a client-facing team.
  • Strong understanding of dealership digital marketing strategy, reporting, and performance metrics.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coach employees through accountability, development, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Experience handling difficult conversations, client escalations, or employee performance concerns professionally and constructively.
  • High attention to detail and strong quality control instincts.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote environment.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace.
  • Experience working within a remote agency environment.


Preferred

  • Experience conducting employee reviews, onboarding, and training.
  • Experience auditing client deliverables and presentations.
  • 3+ years of automotive B2B digital marketing experience.
  • Tier 3 automotive marketing experience.
  • Previous experience managing dealership client relationships and performance expectations.
  • Familiarity with operational reporting.
  • Ability to inspire confidence in others.
  • Knowledge of SEO reporting tools: GA4, GSC, SEMRush, etc.
