The Client

The client is dedicated to helping their patients transform their oral health, confidence, and quality of life through comprehensive dental implant and mouth reconstruction solutions.

They are seeking a highly polished, emotionally intelligent, and results-driven Dental Implant Sales Consultant to join their team in Somerville, MA. This is a unique opportunity for an accomplished sales professional who understands that selling a life-changing healthcare solution requires much more than presenting a product or discussing price.

The client's ideal candidate is an exceptional relationship builder and closer who can quickly establish trust, uncover a patient's underlying motivations, and confidently guide them toward a treatment decision that can dramatically impact their life.

The Role

As a Dental Implant Sales Consultant, you will work directly with prospective patients who are considering significant dental reconstruction and implant treatment.

Many patients who seek treatment have lived for years with dental issues that have affected their confidence, appearance, ability to eat, relationships, social life, and overall quality of life. Your ability to listen, connect emotionally, understand their personal motivations, and communicate the value of treatment will be critical to your success.

This is a high-ticket, consultative B2C sales position requiring sophisticated sales skills, emotional intelligence, confidence, and the ability to close.

You will guide patients through the decision-making process, help them overcome concerns and financial barriers, and ultimately help them move forward with treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with prospective patients to understand their dental concerns, personal goals, motivations, and desired outcomes.
  • Build immediate trust and rapport with patients who may be anxious, embarrassed, frustrated, or emotionally impacted by their dental condition.
  • Present and sell full-mouth reconstruction and dental implant treatment packages to qualified patients.
  • Translate clinical treatment recommendations into compelling, patient-centered value.
  • Use sophisticated consultative and emotional selling techniques to uncover the "why" behind a patient's decision to seek treatment.
  • Identify and address objections related to cost, timing, fear, uncertainty, family considerations, and treatment commitment.
  • Confidently ask for the sale and guide patients toward making a decision.
  • Follow up consistently and strategically with patients who have not yet committed to treatment.
  • Help patients navigate financing options and remove financial barriers to moving forward.
  • Maintain accurate patient information, sales activity, and follow-up within the CRM.
  • Partner closely with doctors and the clinical team to ensure patients have a clear understanding of their recommended treatment.
  • Provide a seamless handoff to the administrative and clinical teams once a patient commits to treatment.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales and revenue goals.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the patient sales experience and contribute ideas to strengthen conversion.
  • Deliver an exceptional patient experience from the initial consultation through treatment acceptance.

What the Client Is Looking For

Exceptional Sales Ability. This position requires more than basic customer service or relationship management. They are looking for a proven closer with a demonstrated history of success selling high-value products, services, or solutions. The ideal candidate:

  • Has a consistent track record of exceeding sales goals and KPIs.
  • Is highly skilled in consultative and solution-based selling.
  • Is comfortable selling high-ticket services.
  • Knows how to uncover needs rather than simply present features and benefits.
  • Is confident asking for the sale.
  • Understands objection handling, urgency, follow-up, and closing.
  • Can balance empathy with the ability to move a customer toward a decision.
  • Is motivated by significant earning potential and performance-based compensation.

Emotional Intelligence and Empathy. This is one of the most important aspects of the position. The patients may have deep emotional pain surrounding their teeth and appearance. They may have experienced years of embarrassment, low confidence, difficulty eating, social isolation, or frustration with their dental health.

You must be able to have emotionally sensitive conversations without becoming uncomfortable or transactional. They are looking for someone who can:

  • Listen deeply and ask meaningful questions.
  • Recognize emotional buying motivations.
  • Make patients feel heard, respected, and understood.
  • Build trust quickly.
  • Discuss difficult personal subjects with tact and professionalism.
  • Understand the difference between emotional connection and pressure.
  • Help patients visualize the potential impact of treatment on their lives.
  • Communicate with warmth while maintaining strong sales discipline.

Professional Presence. Because you will be representing Boston Implant Center during highly personal and important patient conversations, professionalism and presentation matter. The ideal candidate is:

  • Highly polished and professional.
  • Articulate and confident.
  • Warm, personable, and approachable.
  • Emotionally intelligent.
  • Comfortable speaking with patients from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • Able to communicate complex information clearly and confidently.
  • Composed in emotionally charged conversations.
  • Organized and highly accountable.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven success in a sales role with measurable performance results.
  • Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Experience selling high-ticket B2C products or services is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, dental, cosmetic, elective medical, aesthetics, financial services, automotive, luxury, or another consultative sales environment is a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong closing and objection-handling abilities.
  • Experience working with a CRM.
  • Strong computer and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple active prospects and follow-up opportunities.
  • Comfortable discussing significant financial investments with customers.
  • Ability to work full-time in-office in Somerville, MA.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means becoming a trusted advisor to patients while consistently delivering exceptional sales results. You will be measured by your ability to:

  • Build trust quickly.
  • Understand patient motivations.
  • Convert qualified consultations into treatment.
  • Effectively overcome objections.
  • Maintain a disciplined follow-up process.
  • Consistently achieve sales and revenue targets.
  • Deliver an exceptional patient experience.
  • Collaborate effectively with doctors and the broader team.

If you are an experienced closer who combines high-level sales ability with genuine empathy, emotional intelligence, and exceptional communication skills, we want to hear from you.
