The Role
They are looking for a creative, data-driven YouTube Marketing Specialist with a passion for kids' entertainment and toy brands. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing the company's YouTube channel, helping develop engaging video content, and building a loyal audience in the toys and kids segment. You’ll work closely with content creators, marketing, and product design teams to ensure the content drives engagement, brand awareness, and toy sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Channel Management
- Operate and manage YouTube channels focused on toys and kids’ content.
- Upload, optimize, and schedule content regularly.
- Manage playlists, thumbnails, end screens, and metadata (titles, descriptions, and tags).
- Content Strategy
- Collaborate with content creators to plan and produce fun, age-appropriate toy content (e.g., short-form videos, animation series, unboxings, and reviews).
- Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with product launches and trends.
- Analyze performance data to adjust content formats, upload times, and SEO strategy.
- Audience Growth and Engagement
- Monitor channel analytics to grow subscribers and video views.
- Respond to comments, manage community engagement, and moderate for brand safety.
- Utilize YouTube Shorts and trends to boost visibility.
- SEO and Optimization
- Research keywords and trends relevant to toys and children’s content.
- Optimizes the YouTube platform.
- Conduct A/B testing on thumbnails and titles for performance improvement.
- Monetization and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with YouTube policies and COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act).
- Collaborate with monetization partners or manage ad placements as needed.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience managing a YouTube channel, ideally in the toys, kids, or entertainment space.
- Strong understanding of YouTube algorithms, analytics, and content best practices.
- Strong analytical/quantitative skills.
- Familiarity with kids’ content safety standards (COPPA, FTC guidelines).
- Excellent communication (and storytelling) skills.
- Experience with paid YouTube advertising and sponsorships.
- Passion for toys, kids' entertainment, and playful storytelling.
Nice To Have
- Experience working with influencers or toy brands.
- Understanding of other kids' platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and kid-friendly streaming apps.
